City of San José Breaks Ground on First Safe Sleeping Site

Located along the Coyote Creek, the site will bring relief to neighbors, restore Watson Park, and help connect unhoused residents to resources

SAN JOSÉ, CA - Today, San José will begin construction on its first Safe Sleeping Site — part of the City’s strategy to address unsheltered homelessness. Over the next two months, crews will prepare the site with fencing, case management facilities, and restrooms. Media is invited to hear more about the timeline and how this site will support the city’s unhoused residents.
